Target + Giada = happy me

Who doesn't love Target? And for that matter, who doesn't love Giada? She is adorable and her recipes are terrific so of course she belongs with the Target family! My favorite items so far are this covered casserole dish (very mid-century modern looking huh?) for only $29 and this Santoku knife for $18. Get thee to Target! Giada image via Food Network.

On the way...

To the grocery store. I love Chicago.

Cake please

I made these unbelievably delicious cupcakes last night (from scratch-pat on the back) and they were so easy to make. I found the recipe on this great blog. It is his "go-to" cake and it is dense and moist and almost like a brownie. I whipped up some cream cheese frosting to top them too. So easy, so good.

B is for Brilliant

These alphabet prints are great! Paul Thurlby is a freelance illustrator working out of the U.K. who produces prints and does illustration work for books, the New York Times and others. I love the editorial illustration above for the NY Times. Click here to view his blog and pick out a couple of prints.

My guys

One who will cuddle with me all day and one who will go and get me o.j. at 2 in the morning. I'm a lucky girl.

Thinking of you

Speaking of Bird and Banner, I love their new Handkerchief Cards. What a lovely gift to give a special person. Click here to purchase one (or a few) from Anthropologie. Image via Bird and Banner.

Roost

I cannot wait to go here! We are really lucky because our new place is only a couple blocks from Clark St. where this and so many other amazing home decor and antique shops are. I'll let you know what I find!
