I love it when people put in a mirrored back splash in the kitchen. It is a little bit glamorous but totally functional. If the right lighting is used you have the best reflection and light coming out over the counters. It's just plain lovely.

Téa Obreht is the very young (25!) author of The Tiger's Wife, the book I just finished. It was an incredible read, filled with sadness, longing, heartbreak, forgiveness and excitement. With this novel, her first, Téa has already been named by The New Yorker as one of the twenty best American fiction writers under forty and included in the National Book Foundation’s list of 5 Under 35.  I am very excited to see what more comes from her and please go here and buy this book now-you will love it.
