a room with a view
Those windows are magnificent. Yes to all of it. I could definitely whip up a meal in that kitchen.

oh my...
Now that is a great bookshelf. Get that dining table out of there and put in a huge comfy chair!

put it up
I love this little gallery wall because it's less formal than most. There are framed and unframed pieces, cards and notes and it all looks chic on that black wall. It is very personal and very easy.
it's the book truck! eee!
How great is this? I am reading a Vintage Penguin book now and would loved for it to have been delivered! (Image from 1938)

gimme that fridge!
I want to say this is Martha's kitchen, but not totally sure. Either way, it's gorgeous. A little more traditional than I like but I love the colors and of course, the fridge. Mark my words friends, I'll have one some day!
top it!
How freakin' great are these?! I love creative cake toppers and these are superb! In black they remind me a lot of one of my favorite artists, Kara Walker and her silhouette work.

well hello!
Isn't this adorable? It reminds me of The Jetsons a little too. Artwork by Tatsuro Kiuchi.
cream & sugar
I believe this was originally in the now extinct Domino Magazine. I loved this little kitchen the first time I saw it and I still love it. It's clean and tidy and the colors are divine.

gimme that cake!
This is such a pretty cake. Doesn't it look fresh and delicious? Yum. It's a citrus cake with lemon curd filling and orange lemon icing. Wow.

A blue-tiled pool? Ok! Doesn't that look wonderful? I could go for a dip right about now...

a boating we will go!
Hmmm....these are Old Navy Boat Shoes. They look cute in the picture, I may have to investigate further and go get a pair? Yes? Ok!
more please!
I'm not usually a fan of Moroccan style but these glasses are gorgeous. They would be perfect for cocktails or iced tea.

ahoy!
I know, I know. It's time to think of bathing suits. Past-time actually, but I am just getting to it. This one is just adorable. I love a great one-piece that can still be both cute and flattering. Plus, the back is low and the front is a little low too so it is still a little sexy, not totally grandma. I like!
shine time
I love it when people put in a mirrored back splash in the kitchen. It is a little bit glamorous but totally functional. If the right lighting is used you have the best reflection and light coming out over the counters. It's just plain lovely.
a must read
Téa Obreht is the very young (25!) author of The Tiger's Wife, the book I just finished. It was an incredible read, filled with sadness, longing, heartbreak, forgiveness and excitement. With this novel, her first, Téa has already been named by The New Yorker as one of the twenty best American fiction writers under forty and included in the National Book Foundation’s list of 5 Under 35. I am very excited to see what more comes from her and please go here and buy this book now-you will love it.

put it together
So much to love in this room. The rug is fantastic, the deep-seated., tufted sofa, the green chairs, those luxurious drapes and I love that window seat that spans the length of the room. What a great space.
cheers!
I really have no need for one, but I have always wanted a vintage bar cart stocked with all the fixins for cocktails and such. They are just so cool and classy.

fave finds from new Anthropologie catalog
Just a few of my favorite finds from the June catalog from Anthropologie. The entire spread is gorgeous, as usual, and I loved not only the items above but also the layout and placement. Isn't that pullover amazing?!
